BILLINGS — Primary and school elections ballots for Yellowstone County voters are in the mail.
The Yellowstone County Elections office sent out nearly 49,623 ballots on Friday.
Nearly 47,000 of those are for four of the five Billings City Council seats.
Ward 3 in Billings and the Laurel City Council and mayoral elections do not have enough candidates for primaries.
Ballots also went out for Shepherd elementary and high school bonds.
Ballots are due back on Sept. 10.
The mail-in general election is Nov. 5 and those ballots will be sent on Oct. 18.
