The Yellowstone County Unified Health Command held a press conference Thursday afternoon to provide more information on the county's upcoming mass vaccination clinic at Cedar Hall at MetraPark.

Those who wish to be vaccinated will have to have an appointment. To sign up people will have the option to go to covid.riverstonehealth.orgor call (406) 651-6596. Sign ups will be open on the website starting at 1 p.m. Friday and phone lines will be open at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Available appointment options include:

· Tuesday: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

· Wednesday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m/ 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

John Felton, CEO of RiverStone Health, said the clinic will be offering people the first dose of the vaccine. After that, they will be monitored for 15 minutes and sign up for their second dose before leaving the building. The second dose of the vaccine will be administered on a different date at MetraPark.

Felton said when coming for their vaccine, people should not arrive more than five minutes prior to their scheduled time.

Felton said they hope to be able to expand the clinic once vaccine supply allows.

“It was announced that we do anticipate a slightly larger allocation of vaccines to the state next week. Over time we expect that those allocations will increase. What we fully expect is that we will grow the Cedar Hall site as large as it can accommodate and then move to another centralized site. That is the commitment of the Unified Health Command, is to get that vaccine as quickly as we can by working together to staff sights and get the vaccine administered,” Felton said.
