BILLINGS — With Montana's first winter storm about to hit, travelers are busy getting their vehicles ready for the road.

Q2's Rob Griggs checked in with experts to see what he should have in his vehicle for his emergency travel bag:

Cell phone and car charger or auxiliary battery
Sleeping bag or blankets
Flashlight with extra batteries
First aid kit
Extra winter clothing – boots, coat, gloves, hat
Shovel, scraper and brush
Jumper cables
Drinking water and high calorie nonperishable food
Cat litter (for tire traction)
