This year, the Montana Women’s Run celebrates 40 years of getting women and girls active and giving back to the community.
And with that, run organizers revealed this year’s Women’s Run T-shirt and announced registration is open.
This year’s color of choice, to get people motivated, is royal blue.
The shirt was designed by a local female graphic design artist. It features bitterroot-shaped flowers. Also, a silhouette of a running shoe recognizes the design of one of the original Women’s Run shirts.
“The circular placement of the type and shoelace embodies movement and communicates unity while symbolizing the wholeness of health and wellbeing for women. The fresh design brings the tradition of the Montana Women’s Run past and race’s movement into the future together in one design," according to a press release from run organizers.
Due to Covid-19, this year’s race, set for Saturday May 8 (the day before Mother’s Day) will be virtual. So instead of filling the streets of downtown, you can grab your mom, sister, daughters and other family members and hit the trails and sidewalks to show your support.
All proceeds go back to local women’s efforts across our community.
