BILLINGS - The Bureau of Land Management announced it has plans to set a 270-acre prescribed burn Thursday in the Bull Mountains north of Billings.
The burn area is along Rehder Road east of US Highway 87.
"Assuming the test fire goes as expected, ignition is planned for around 10:30 am, with the burn expected to hit its stride by midday," BLM spokesman AL Nash said in a press release.
The burn is on a combination of BLM, State, and private land, Nash said.
