UPDATE 9 p.m. - A mid-thirties Montana woman was transported to a local hospital and charged with multiple citations after she struck and knocked over a power pole with her vehicle on Becraft Lane in Lockwood Tuesday night.

Montana Highway Patrol Tropper Brennan Plucker said the woman was traveling westbound on Becraft Lane, struck the power pole, then turned around and continued eastbound on Becraft Lane.

Plucker said she will be charged with multiple citations including leaving the scene of an accident.

Plucker was not able to say if Becraft Lane was open or not at this time.

At least dozens lost power in Lockwood Tuesday night after a power pole was knocked down by a vehicle in a hit and run on Becraft Lane.

In addition, Becraft Lane has been shut down between Quinella Drive and Starlight Drive, and Yellowstone Valley Electric crews have responded to the scene.

The vehicle was heading east on Becraft when it struck the pole, knocked it over and continued driving, according to a Yellowstone County sheriff's deputy.

The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating.

The outage was reported before 6:30 p.m.

This is a developing story.
