Police: No arrest in shooting on Billings Rims

BILLINGS - Police said Friday they interviewed and released a 19-year-old man following a shooting on the Billings Rims that sent another man to the hospital with a life-threatening injury.

Police Lt. Brandon Wooley said in a press release issued Friday morning the shooting was reported at about 4:32 p.m. Thursday near the water tower on Highway 3. When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old man unconscious with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance and no update on his condition was provided Friday in the press release.

"At the scene, Officers detained a 19 year old male, from Billings, who was then questioned by Detectives. The detained male was later released. Police are not looking for any other parties involved," the press release states.

Wooley said the incident remains under investigation and "no additional details will be provided at this time."
