If you’re looking for a place to have a coffee, maybe catch up on some work, or even adopt a cat, look no further than Bozeman’s Catshow Café; it's located on the west side of Bozeman, up the stairs at the Garden Barn.

Owners Josh Marks and Josh Pecukonis are working with the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter to help some of their cats find "fur-ever" homes.

“We definitely are focusing on the older cats who tend to be harder to adopt. Especially when they go to the shelter, they don’t always show themselves,” said Pecukonis.

Cat lovers can buy food or a beverage at the Foxtrot downstairs and head to the lounge for some feline company.

There will be anywhere between 3-4 cats at the café at a time, and strict social distancing and safety precautions are being taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We require hand washing before, during and after interacting with the animals. So we’re definitely taking all the precautions we can to keep everyone safe but also find homes for the cats, because ultimately, that’s what we’re here for,” said Josh Marks.

The Catshow Cafe is the first of its kind in the state and the owners say the space allows for unique interaction in a comfortable environment for both people and cats.

“We’re just crazy cat people, really, and we really love cats and we really just wanted to offer an extra outlet for people to be able to spend time and adopt cats,” said Pecukonis.

You can visit the cats by paying a daily entrance fee or becoming a monthly member. Click here to visit the Facebook page.
