A 36-year-old man was shot by law enforcement Tuesday afternoon in Billings Heights and taken to the hospital, according to Billings police.

The Montana Violent Offender Task Force was attempting to issue a felony arrest warrant on the 600 block of Clause Circle just before 3 p.m. when the shooting occurred, said U.S. Marshal Rod Ostermiller.

Billings police said in a tweet they are investigating the officer-involved shooting.

No law enforcement officers were injured, Ostermiller said.

This is a developing story.
