BILLINGS — Living Independently for Today and Tomorrow will be hosting a nine-session workshop beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 29th through Tuesday Dec. 31st, with the exception of Dec. 24th.
The workshop is called "Living Well with a Disability."
Using a curriculum developed by the Disability & Health program at the University of Montana's Rural Institute, "Living Well with a Disability" introduces a goal-setting approach and teaches problem-solving skills.
The workshop will also provide tools for managing health and making healthy lifestyle changes, increasing physical activity, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, improving nutrition, avoiding depression and frustration, and advocating for community change that will help maintain gains.
Persons completing all sessions of the workshop will receive a certificate.
Classes will be held at the LIFTT Billings Office at 1201 Grand Avenue from 1 until 2 p.m.
