BILLINGS — In light of of the men and women who served our country, Wreaths Across America is asking Montana residents to step up and honor veterans.
Local groups from around the region will be stationed at Ace Hardware stores in Yellowstone County Nov. 9, selling wreaths to be placed on veterans' grave sites at the Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel.
Their aim is to cover at least 1,000 veteran grave markers with a Christmas wreath for National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 14.
Last year, only 400 wreaths were laid, leaving about 600 bare.
Each wreath costs $15.
