BILLINGS — Even before Thanksgiving, a little Christmas spirit came early to MetraPark on Saturday.

The 34th Annual Holiday Food and Gift Festival featured 200 vendors at the Expo Center.

It is also a celebration with entertainment on the big stage.

Kids had a chance to meet and take pictures with Santa Claus.

It's one of the first opportunities for Christmas shopping.

"People are starting to get in the festive mood,” said Amanda Sanderson, event coordinator. “There are a lot of Christmas ornaments you can purchase. We've had Christmas music. Some of the dancers are dancing to Christmas music. The smell is kind of Christmas too. You come in and the cinnamon and the coffee and the roasted nuts. People are out to shop for Christmas this time of year."

The two-day Holiday Food and Gift Festival continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MetraPark Expo Center.
