BILLINGS- Members of the public got a look Wednesday at possible new looks for Coulson Park in south Billings

DHM Design presented four potential designs at a Wednesday parks department meeting.

The proposals are part of a $90,000 master plan designed as a blueprint for the park's future. That plan was half funded through grants from Big Sky Economic Development and Yellowstone River Oil Spill Recreation Project Funds.

The second pot of money was created ascompensation for the 2011 Silvertip pipeline burst in the Yellowstone River in 2011, which spilled 63,00 gallons of oil into the water and damaged thousands of acres of wetlands. In 2013, Exxon Mobil, which owned the pipeline, agreed to set aside $2.3 million for recreation along the river.

That fund from Exxon is a likely source to pay for the actual improvements once they're determined.
