Update: Montana man killed in crash near Roundup

UPDATE

ROUNDUP - A 21-year-old man from Plains was killed in a rollover crash Wednesday southwest of Roundup just before 8 p.m.

Montana Highway Patrol dispatch said the man, whose name has not been released, was driving a Chevrolet 4500 pickup truck east on U.S. Highway 12.

The truck left the road on the right side and when the driver tried to correct the truck he lost control.

The truck then went off the left side of the road and overturned.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old passenger from Royalton, MN, who also wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was injured and taken to Billings Clinic.

The patrol said no other vehicles were involved, and alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected factors in the crash.

At least one person is dead following a crash in Musselshell County.

Very few details were available but the crash was reported just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The crash happened on US Highway 12 southwest of Roundup.
