Authorities are evacuating Ashland and the Red Shale area in Rosebud County Wednesday night as a wildfire grows.
The Rosebud County Sheriff's Office is reporting fires at Snider Creek, Ingomar and Tongue River Road.
Deputies are notifying residents to get out Wednesday night for the Rice fire, which is 1.5 miles northeast of Ashland.
Authorities are requesting residents to avoid dispatch calls to learn about the fire out of concerns of system overload. Updates will be posted on the Rosebud County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
