Driver receives life-threatening injuries in Saturday night Billings crash

BILLINGS — A driver was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash on the Billings South Side at 9:46 p.m. Saturday, according to a tweet from Billings Police Sgt. Ben Milam.

The accident happened at the intersection of South Billings Boulevard and Simpson Street, according to the tweet.

On scene Sunday afternoon, damage could be seen to the south exterior of the Mountain Supply building, a water plumbing supply store at 534 S Billings Blvd. Debris was scattered along the north sidewalk of Simpson Street near the intersection, including a twisted street sign and demolished electrical box.

A stretch of South Billings Boulevard was closed for about eight hours while police investigated the crash, according to a follow up tweet from Billings police.
