The Boys and Girls Club of Yellowstone County teamed up with Montana's Rib & Chop House for the 11th year to provide 100 club families with full holiday dinners.
Staff from the Rib and Chop House came to the club at 11 a.m. to help prepare, package and ready the meals for delivery.
The meals came packed with a full holiday dinner for each of the families.
"Pretty traditional holiday meals. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls. All the good stuff. Everything you would hope for, for a Christmas dinner," said Nick Enslow, Boys and Girls Club area director for downtown and the south side.
Enslow said that recipients of the meals are chosen from families who have reached out to the club for assistance around the holidays, and other families the club decided to help.
"We just reach out and ask them if they would like a little bit of help, and for the most part, everybody comes back with a pretty resounding, yes," said Enslow.
According to staff, the pandemic did not have a large effect on the program and they were still able to deliver each meal.
"We go to the houses and give them a call before we arrive. We say 'we are with the Boys and Girls Club,' and we hand them the box with goods for an excellent holiday meal," said Jack Padon, Boys and Girls Club vice chair.
Padon said he is happy to be able to offer kids and families their meals for the holiday.
"We make a difference in kids' lives. I am blessed to be a member of the Boys and Girls Club," said Padon.
