A 16-year-old boy was struck in a crossing the street on Fourth Avenue North in Billings Thursday afternoon and taken to a local hospital, according to Billings police.
The boy was in a crosswalk when he was struck by a 57-year-old woman driving a small SUV at a low speed, Billings Police Sgt. Shane Winden said in a tweet. Police responded to the incident at 2:14 p.m.
The driver was turning onto Fourth Avenue North from 30th Street when she struck the boy, Winden said.
The woman, who was not identified, was cited, Winden said.
Police said they do not believe the boy suffered serious injuries.
