The $13.6 million renovation of the Alberta Bair Theater is just about one year away from being finished.
Some of the upgrades to the theater include an elevator to increase accessibility for all guests.
Crews are adding more restrooms and more options for concessions.
Acoustics, audio, and lighting will also be improved.
Just over $12 million have been raised for the improvements.
Now Alberta Bair is working to raise the remaining $1.5 million this year.
"It was so exciting the last couple weeks to watch them put up the steel so we could actually see the footprint of the about 9,000 square feet that we're gaining,” said Alberta Bair Executive Director Jan Dietrich. “So everything seems to be on track. They're trying to get it closed up so they can work inside in the winter."
