BILLINGS – Vitalant will be joined by about 20 volunteers from the International WeLoveU Foundation on Sunday, June 23 to host a Worldwide Blood Drive Event, according to a press release Friday.
The drive will be held at Vitalant, which is located in the old United Blood Services building at 1444 Grand Avenue and will be from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Montana hospitals are using more blood than is coming in, according to the release, and the event hopes to contribute to the reduction of the chronic blood shortages in Montana communities.
The International WeLoveU Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) participating in more than 67 countries. They have over 290,000 volunteers who assist with the initiatives of Health, the “Clean WORLD Movement,” Emergency Relief, Social Welfare, and International Aid.
Friends, families and the community are invited to participate.
