BILLINGS – The Billings Breakfast Exchange Club will be hosting the second annual Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone, Saturday at the Chiesa Plaza, located on the MetraPark grounds, according to a press release Thursday.

The event is from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will feature live music from local groups  D’tective, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., and Brickhouse Band from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m..

Local nonprofit group SCRaPtacular will be hosting a Kid’s Zone that will feature a castle tent, face painting, and other activities. There will also be superheroes and princesses that kids can take pictures with.

Ten percent of all food truck sales and all profits from beer sales and gate admissions will be donated to a non-profit called Veterans Matter that assists veterans with obtaining housing through the Veterans Assisted Supported Housing (VASH) program.

Veterans get approved to receive the VASH vouchers to help them pay their monthly rent. However, they still have to come up with a deposit, and this event hopes to raise money to go towards assisting with those required deposits.

Awards will be given to food trucks for “Best in Billings”, voted on by the attendees as well as guest local celebrity judges.

Admission is $5. Kids under 12 and veterans are free.
