UPDATE – Billings Police Sergeant Bret Becker told Q2 that no one was injured in a Tuesday night crash on the Rims.

Becker said a red Pontiac, driven by a 17-year-old Billings boy, T-boned a silver minivan turning left out of the Swords Park parking lot.

The force of the impact caused the minivan to spin on its wheels, knocking over a light pole. The car came to rest upright in the ditch on the north side of Airport road.

Becker said the 54-year-old Billings woman driving the minivan did not see the Pontiac on her right when she pulled out of the parking lot.

Becker said the woman was transported to a Billings hospital as a precaution.

Becker said, the 17-year-old male in the Pontiac was not injured.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.

BILLINGS- At least one person was transported to a local hospital Tuesday night after an accident on the Rims took out a utility pole.

Shortly before 9 p.m., reports came in of a crash near Swords Park on East Airport Road.

It’s not currently known what happened to cause the crash, but the impact was enough to take down a utility pole in the area.

It reduced traffic to a single lane near the park.

There is no word on the extent of injuries at this time.

This is a developing story.
