BILLINGS – Mother Nature is changing things up for area schools with this most recent blast of cold weather.
St. Labre Catholic School in Ashland will have a 2-hour delayed start on Monday.
School will start at 10 a.m., and buses will also run two hours later than usual all day.
Saint Charles Mission in Pryor also has a two-hour late start.
Wyola School will have a one hour delay due to extreme temperatures.
Rapelje School will start two hours late and the buses will run two hours late.
Chief Dull Knife College in Lame Deer will be closed Monday.
And classes are cancelled Monday for Lame Deer Public Schools.
The superintendent in Lame Deer there said all activities, including games and practices, are also canceled.
Billings School District 2 is also reminding parents of inclement weather procedures.
Superintendent Greg Upham says expect buses to run late, and parents should wait at the bus stop with their children.
Dress appropriately and allow extra time to get to the bus stop or school.
Stand at least 10 steps away from bus stops.
And students shouldn’t play in snow mounds within 10 feet of the roadway because they can fall and slip into the roadway.
Upham also reminds parents the district respects that parents must make the final decision on whether children attend school or not during severe weather conditions.
