BILLINGS- Creativity and Christmas caroling added to the celebration at an annual fundraiser that is a Billings tradition.

The Victorian Carolers greeted people with Christmas music at the 33rd Annual Festival of Trees.

The gala auction featured 38 trees and other items up for bid at the MetraPark Expo Center.

The decorating theme for this year’s festival is “Fairy Tales.”

“Every tree is unique every year,” said Stacy Dreessen, Family Tree Center executive director. “There’s never been two trees alike. It’s a great way to start the holiday season. It puts you in the mood for the holidays and it’s beautiful. It also brings the community together. It’s just a fabulous, fun wonderful event.”

The festival helps fund about one-third of the budget for the Family Tree Center.

“We provide support and education for families,” Dreessen said. “Any family in the community can use our services.”

More events and opportunities to see the Festival of Trees are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
