Interstate 90 closed for an hour in Billings as police talked woman down from bridge

Update 2:57 p.m. Billlings police have talked the 44-year-old woman off the bridge. She will be taken for a mental health evaluation. All roads will reopen shortly.


Update: Westbound I90 is opend. Eastbound I90 remains closed in both directions, and traffic is being rerouted.


BILLINGS- Portions of Interstate 90 east and westbound lanes have been shut down for a suicidal person atop the King Avenue overpass.

Eastbound traffic is being detoured on the off ramp onto Midland Road and back onto the interstate at South Billings Boulevard, according to the Montana Department of Transportation.

Also, Mullowney Lane at mile marker 446 is closed, according to Billings police.
