BILLINGS- For some Billings motorists, the most exciting part of this week won’t be the food, or the great Black Friday sales.
It’s the reopening of Zimmerman Trail, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Construction of a new roundabout atop the major north-to-south Billings arterial is nearly complete, following months of detours and extended commutes, according to builders.
The road is also wider and better lit, with the new roundabout atop the intersection of Highway 3, said Luke LaLiberty with KLJ, the company in charge of the project.
Zimmerman Trail has been closed to travel since the end of June.
LaLiberty also said the hotline for the Zimmerman trail construction project will remain in service through the month of December to answer questions and concerns.
