BILLINGS- Fans of Lucky’s Market will no longer have to leave their home to shop the grocery chain.

On Friday, Lucky’s is launching a partnership with the delivery app SHIPT that will offer same-day delivery of their products to consumers in six states and 18 cities, including Billings.

“Lucky’s Market was founded on the idea that healthful foods should be more available to more people,” said Ben Friedland, vice president of marketing for Lucky’s Market in a press release.

Billings is the only Montana location where the service will be offered. The Billings store is at West Park Promenade at 1603 Grand Ave.

It is pretty exciting that we definitely increase the convenience of shopping here at a more natural food store,” said Nick Parker, assistant store director at Lucky’s in Billings. Parker also said he hopes that this move exposes more people to unique items that Lucky’s sells.

The initial launch will make Lucky’s available via delivery to over 10 million households, with more to follow in the first quarter of 2019.

Shoppers can sign up at luckysmarketdelivers.com. First-time subscribers to the service can get an entire year of grocery deliveries for $49. The usual price is $99. For this price, subscribers get a year of unlimited deliveries over $35.

Lucky’s is not the only grocery store offering delivery in the Billings area. Evergreen IGA has an in-house delivery service charging $8 an order, and orders over $100 are free.

Lucky’s is the most recent addition to the list of stores that SHIPT partners with, a list that includes WalMart and Target.

SHIPT employs vetted, locally based shoppers who go into the store, do your shopping and deliver it to your door. Shoppers can be in contact with customers through a messaging feature in the app to resolve any shopping issues.

Customers ordering from Lucky’s or IGA will have no restrictions on what type of product they can order, however, the IGA service is only available from Monday to Saturday and the delivery area excludes the heights and areas south of I-90.
