LAUREL- A three-car collision on the Highway 310 bridge south of Laurel stalled traffic around noon on Monday while emergency crews cleared the scene.
According to law enforcement on scene, the collision was head-on, and three people were taken to a nearby hospital by both ground and air ambulances.
The bridge was closed until an emergency helicopter was cleared and opened fully about 3:30 p.m., according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Kyle Hayter.
A van heading south on Highway 310 apparently crossed into the northbound lane for an unknown reason, Hayter said. The crash remains under investigation.
