RAMSEY — The Department of Revenue Thursday approved the transfer of the liquor license to Love’s Travel Stop, which plans to open a truck stop and casino in Ramsay just west of Butte.
The ruling came after a hearing held in Butte last June, where several residents from Ramsay challenged the license by claiming the truck stop would create a safety issue for the community.
Thursday’s ruling shows the protesters failed to show how the community would be harmed, and that Love's Travel Stop has a history of good management.
Love's management has not said when it plans to open the truck stop in Ramsay.
