Yellowstone County Health Ofifcer John Felton will detail a new health order 2 p.m. Thursday at a news conference at RiverStone Health.

Felton will also give a general update on the COVID-19 situation in Yellowstone County case investigations and COVID-19 education liaisons.

The announcement from RiverStone came just hours after Montana Gov. Steve Bullock announced new statewide restrictions aimed at curbing spread of the virus.

On Friday, public gatherings will be limited to 25 people and bars, restaurants, casinos and distilleries will be limited to 50 percent capacity with a closing time of 10 p.m., according to Bullock's order. The governor's face-mask order will also be extended to all Montana counties, not just those with more than four active cases.

The news release from RiverStone did not give details on what order Felton would give, but he has previously aligned Yellowstone County's orders with the state's.

The news conference will be broadcast on Q2 and streamed live on KTVQ.com and the Q2 Facebook page.
