Montana reported two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the state total to 460 cases, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.
State officials are reporting a total of 461, but that number still includes a case attributed in Jefferson County that was later determined to be a patient who hadn't been in Montana for several weeks, the infection was not acquired in Montana and the person had no contact with Montana residents after contracting the virus, according to a post by the Jefferson County Health Department on its Facebook page.
Cascade County reported a new case involving a man in his 30s, and Big Horn County has a new case involving a woman in her 20s.
Big Horn County announced the new case in a press release Monday afternoon, after the state daily report was published.
Of the total cases statewide cases, 425 have recovered, an increase of two over the 24-hour reporting period period.
There are 19 active cases statewide.
Yellowstone County and Big Horn County have two active cases each, and Toole County remains the most active infectious area in the state with six cases. Gallatin County and Cascade County each have three active cases.
Lincoln, Silver Bow, and Broadwater counties each have one active case.
A total of 23,035 tests have been completed in the state, an increase of 463 since the Monday report.
Four people remain hospitalized, and 63 have received treatment in a hospital.
The number of deaths remains at 16.
