BILLINGS — The Yellowstone County Unified Health Command will follow the reopening plan put forward by Gov. Steve Bullock.

County Health Officer John Felton said at a press conference Thursday the county will follow the plan without any additional measures taken. (Watch the entire press conference in the video above.)

Felton said people should continue to use social distancing and take steps to remember where you have been in case you get sick and can help contact tracing.

"We expect to see more cases of COVID-19," said Felton. "More cases do not necessarily mean we have to put in more restrictive measures."

On Wednesday, Bullock announced during a news conference a "phased re-opening" plan for Montana.

Among the highlights of the plan is that many retail businesses can become operational beginning on Monday, April 27, and restaurants, bars, casinos, and breweries can become operational beginning on Monday, May 4.
