Gov. Steve Bullock has scheduled a press conference at noon on Wednesday.
Bullock will speak about "details on Montana’s plan for a phased and gradual reopening and answer questions from reporters," according to a press release.
Bullock issued a stay-at-home directive on March 26.
The directive also ordered non-essential businesses to cease operations and prohibited most activities and travel.
Businesses deemed to be essential have been able to operate and people have been able to participate in outdoor activities.
Last week, Bullock said he was planning to announce a "phased reopening" of Montana before Friday, when his orders expire.
Bullock's news conference will be broadcast live on air, online and on Facebook on Q2.
