Big Horn County reported its 49th death due to COVID-19 on Sunday.
A man in his 60s who was hospitalized died Sunday, according to a county press release.
It is the county's first COVID-related death in December and brings the fatality rate in Big Horn to 2.5 percent.
With 17 new positive cases added on Sunday, Big Horn County has 1,989 total COVID-19 cases, 197 active, and 1,743 recovered.
