BILLINGS — An early morning collision with a FedEx truck sent a woman who was riding a bicycle to the hospital with minor injuries Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. on 1st Avenue North and North 16th Street.
Billings police Sgt. Harley Cagle said after the crash the woman was eventually standing up on her own, but she was taken by ambulance to a Billings hospital with minor injuries.
Cagle said the FedEx truck was coming out of a nearby parking lot where a car dealership is and failed to yield to the bicyclist traveling east, striking the woman and forcing her to skid and crash.
The driver of the FedEx truck will likely be cited with a minor infraction, said Cagle. Coming to a complete stop when entering a sidewalk is a city law.
