Man killed in Big Horn County rollover

Posted

BIG HORN COUNTY – One man is dead after the pickup he was in rolled several times Friday morning in Big Horn County.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper David Hankins, four occupants were in a newer model Dodge pickup truck that crashed on state Highway 451 near milemarker 22.

One man died at the scene, but troopers are uncertain if he was in the truck, Hankins said.

The truck ran off the road, hit an embankment and rolled several times.

He says two to three people were ejected from the truck.

A Helpflight helicopter was called to the scene, and one person was transported to a Billings hospital.

Two others were transported to a Crow hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors, or if anyone was wearing a seat belt.
