The only question this week is how hot will it get each afternoon.
A dry and hot pattern will be in place through Saturday. Highs will edge up a little each day, starting with the 80s to low 90s Tuesday and possibly breaking record highs in the 100s by Friday and Saturday.
Overnight temperatures will give us some relief, dropping to the mid-50s to mid-60s in the early morning.
The relative humidity will be very low during the period, likely dropping to the teens and single digits by the end of the week.
From Saturday afternoon through Sunday, a cold front moving through the area could be the trigger for wildfires as it produces gusty winds and possible dry lightning storms.
Long range, temperatures seem to want to return to seasonal averages in the upper 80s by Sunday and Monday.
Billings forecast:
Tuesday…Sunny and hot with a high near 91. A light westerly breeze.
Tuesday night…Mostly clear, and slipping to around 60.
Wednesday…Sunny and just a little hotter with about 93 for the high temperature.
