Hot and dry conditions are ahead this week.
Other than a few showers and thunderstorms over Southeast Montana and the Bighorn Mountains Monday, expect a very dry week.
A strong high pressure ridge will keep temperatures moving up from the 70s to mid-80s Monday to the 90s and possible 100s by Friday.
Wildfire smoke may hold back temperatures by a few degrees. Some record high temperatures will be threatened.
Use extreme caution with anything that could spark a wildfire. Take breaks when working outdoors and stay hydrated. Do not leave children or pets in vehicles.
A low-pressure trough will start to break down the heat Saturday night through Sunday.

Monday…Sunny with a high of about 84. Westerly breeze 5 to 10 mph.
Monday night…Clear to mostly clear. Low near 58.
Tuesday…More sun and temperatures climb to around 90.
