Q2 Weather: One last round of storms likely

One last chance at thunderstorms Friday evening.

A disturbance will bring a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area during the afternoon and evening Friday. Strong winds with Gus over 50 miles an hour are possible with any of these storms.

Friday’s high temperatures will be mainly in the with increasing afternoon clouds.

Saturday and Sunday will trend cooler, with a highs in the mid to lower 80s. Isolated thunderstorms could develop, but mainly over the mountains and foothills.

Starting early next week, temperatures will start to hit the low 90s and stay hot and mainly dry through the following weekend.

Friday… A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Some storms could produce gusty winds. Otherwise, increasing clouds and a high of about 88. Areas of smoke.

Friday night… A chance of showers and thunderstorms through the evening. Some storms could produce gusty winds. Decreasing overnight clouds with a low near 57.

Saturday… evening’s mostly sunny with a high near 84.
