A line of thunderstorms quickly rumbled through in the very early morning hours Thursday. About 3:30 a.m., Billings heard thunder and the airport picked up just enough rain to measure at 1/100 of an inch.
Thursday and Friday will stay cooler than average, with high temperatures in the mid-70s to lower 80s. For much of the area, temperatures won’t warm higher than the 70s on Friday.
Expect a mix of clouds and sun Thursday, with showers and thunderstorms favoring areas from Billings to the west and south during the afternoon and evening. The chance of storms will increase during the late afternoon and evening.
Showers will be more widespread on Friday, and it will be the coolest day overall.
