Q2 Weather: Cooler pattern settles in

Posted

Things are shaping up quite nicely for a very pleasant and to the weekend. Temperatures this afternoon should peak in the lower 80s.

This is a at least a few degrees cooler than temperatures were on Saturday, as the passing cold front has left us in a cooler air mass.

This pattern looks to settle in over the next few days as temperatures will remain at least a few degrees below seasonal.

As we go throughout the course of the week a persistent flow from the west northwest will be a big factor in our slightly cooler temperatures and will also shut us off from the monsoon moisture in the southern part of the country. This means that we are likely looking at a drier week as well as a cooler one.

Afternoon high temperatures right around 80° will be the norm for this week.

It likely won’t be in until later next weekend when temperatures bump back up towards seasonal.
