Q2 Weather: Not as hot later this weekend

Posted

For the most part, conditions remain pretty dry. But temperatures will cool during the weekend.

Friday will be sunny and very warm, with the highs mainly in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Winds will generally be light in south-central Montana northern Wyoming.

A cold front will move through the area Saturday. Temperatures will still hit upper 80s to low 90s ahead of the front, but clouds will increase during the afternoon.

Along and ahead of the cold front, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening. That is our best chance of moisture through at least early next week.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday expect high temperatures mainly in the mid-80s and overnight temperatures in the upper 50s. The sky will stay mostly clear.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny and hot with a high near 94. Light invariable wind.

Friday night… Mostly clear with a low around 64.

Saturday… Mostly sunny and still hot with a high of about 94. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and early evening.
