LIBBY – Highway 37 has now been shut down at Pipe Creek in northwestern Montana because of a forest fire, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said traffic on the road was hindering firefighters trying to fight the fire.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the sheriff’s office was referring to the Zulu fire, which has torched at least 20 acres in Lincoln County as of Thursday afternoon.
Motorists were directed to go through Jennings Haul Road to bypass the closure.
