The heat is here to stay, but some high clouds building in the early portion of the day meant we stayed closer to the seasonal mark for today.

Look for the mercury to rise once again to start the work week.

Skies will be clearer tomorrow and we will once again see that warm west/southwesterly breeze that leads to warmer temperatures here in the Billings area.

Tuesday looks like the hottest day of the week where triple digit temperatures are once again in play.

Warm temperatures in the middle of the atmosphere mean that chances for convection and storm development are limited, but there is enough moisture in the air that some small cells could pop up.

I’m looking at Monday evening as the best chance for some type of development, but again, chances are limited and percentages are still around that 20 percent mark.

Another reminder to practice sun and heat safety as we go about another very warm week.
