BILLINGS – The Yellowstone County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the woman killed in a crash on Montana Highway 3 near Acton.
Janet Butorovich, 86, of Billings died Wednesday afternoon when her car was struck from behind by a semi truck.
The Montana Highway Patrol said she slowed down to turn right into a business.
The semi failed to slow down and collided with the woman’s car.
Butorovich and her passenger were transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The condition of the passenger has not been released.
The driver of the semi was a 26-year-old man from Calgary, Alberta.
Investigators believe alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
