BILLINGS – Billings Family Services celebrated its future home at 3927 First Ave. S. Friday with a party and a bunch of thanks yous.
The nonprofit has served Billings families for 112 years.
Family Services held a Golden Sledgehammer party to celebrate the purchase of the new building and thank all the donors that made it possible.
The organization has been operating out of its current building on First Avenue North in Billings for over 30 years. It provides food, educational tools and services for families in need in the area.
Family Service serves over 10,000 Billings area families, and the goal for its new building is to grow by over 50 percent over the next few years.
The move has been in the works for about seven years, and the nonprofit’s officials say they hope their future home will allow them to create more programs and services to better serve the community.
