Bomb squad in Forsyth examining possible explosive device at sheriff’s office

FORSYTH – The Rosebud County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding businesses were evacuated Friday afternoon in Forsyth after someone brought an explosive device inside.

Sheriff Allen Fulton said in a Facebook post that the individual brought the device in at 12:30 p.m. because he suspected it was explosive.

As a precaution, the sheriff’s office called the Billings Police Department bomb squad and evacuated businesses in the immediate area and the sheriff’s office at 180 S. 13th Ave. in Forsyth

The bomb squad arrived about 4:20 p.m. and will take care of the what was described as a package, according to the Rosebud County Sheriff’s Office.
