Q2 Weather: Rainy day streak likely comes to an end

Posted

It has been 10 days since we could say it has gone a day without rain in Billings.

With some splash-and-dash showers on deck for tonight it appears we might not quite be bucking the trend.

Come Monday, clear skies will prevail and we will, in all likelihood, fall one day shy of the all time record for consecutive number of rain days in Billings.

The system that has been creating the shower chances over the last couple days is finally tracking to the east and away from our area.

It is still bringing enough energy and moisture to our region to create some showers over the course of the afternoon and evening here, but, come tomorrow, a ridge will build in and keep things dry.

There is a system slated to hit the region Tuesday that brings chances of some showers or storms back into the forecast for the afternoon, but on the whole it is a fairly dry system and the precipitation percentages are still quite low.
