The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office is searching the Lockwood area for a native American woman named Trista Devereaux, 30.
Trista left downtown Billings area Friday afternoon after indicating to a friend that she was going to take pills and possibly jump into the river. Phone calls indicate she is calling from the Lockwood area, possibly near the river between the Exxon Refinery and the East bridge.
Authorities are searching by land, water and air and are asking land and business owners with property in the area to check their property, vehicles and campers for Devereaux.
Last contact with Devereaux was at around 10:20 p.m. Friday from a phone tower on Klenck Lane. The phone has since gone dead.
Searchers will be in the area today but are asking for property owners help due to the number of vehicles and buildings in the area.
Devereaux is 5′ 3”, heavy set and has short black hair and wears dark framed glasses.
