Under the influence of a high pressure ridge, warmer high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s can be expected Thursday. The area starts with more sun and ends up with more clouds.
A disturbance will hit areas west of Billings by Thursday afternoon, then shift through Billings by the evening. It will reach Eastern Montana and continue into North Dakota by late evening and overnight.
Showers and thunderstorms will develop along this disturbance. Some storms could contain hail, strong winds, and/or heavy rain.
Expect somewhat cooler and breezier conditions Friday. Highs will be mainly in the 70s with more clouds than sun, with areas showers and thunderstorms.
